What healing is…

hands-68918_1280

I heard this today on an Abraham-Hicks audio on YouTube – I’m transcribing for you here because I think it’s well worth sharing.

“A healer is someone who sees the expanded version of someone, focuses on it completely, and therefore dominates the vibration to influence the other toward it…

…whether you are a counselor who encourages people or someone who learns massage and soothes them into relaxation, or whether you are someone who decides that you will be a physician, or whether you decide that you will be someone who simply looks for the best in others and reflects that back to them, all of that is healing.

Remember, the cure that medicine is looking for, is relief. That’s all. Just relief. Relief from the negative emotion that binds and holds apart from the wellness that is desired.

You get to pick. We rarely tell people that they are healers. What we tell people is that they are teachers. And by that, we mean, you are one who came forth intending to find out some way, the vibrational alignment that came within you, so that you could reflect that knowing to those who are asking. And that can play out in whatever way pleases you.

Some of the most powerful healers on the planet are musicians who hold people in a spell of alignment…you can pick anything that is pleasing to you, and please do pick something that is pleasing to you, because if you sacrifice your joy, for the service of helping others, you don’t align with Source and you’ve got nothing to give them.

Where if you pick the thing that pleases you most, and give it your undivided attention, and use it as your excuse to line up with who you are, and then in that state of alignment you hold someone else as your object of attention, they will benefit by your alignment, and that’s what healing is.”

What I want…for the world

kayaking_maiakumarigilman_crop

I want a happy society where goods, services & processes work well and people are cared for;

where individuals thrive both in terms of health and creativity;

where there is enough wealth (food, fuel, money, resources) for anyone who wants or needs;

where people understand their power to create, and they appreciate the harmony that holds it all together.

I want a world with clean water and air, thriving ecosystems and exciting vistas.

I want a world with diversity of crops, species and planted gardens around our homes;

with wild flora and fauna comfortably adjacent to and in around our built spaces;

with connections to each other, both physically and digitally, spiritually and consciously, and ease in our separation when we choose that.

I want a world in which individuals think for themselves and the group consciousness tends toward wellness.

I’ve been painting…

maia-kumari-gilman-in-progress

I’ve been painting, a lot. Abstract, colorful, acrylic, mixed media, collage…having an incredible amount of fun. Painting opens the door to writing, which helps me to summarize architecture, space, and design…and the human experience of those aspects of living. In between kids off to school bus pick up and getting ready for my day, these thoughts bubbled up and I decided to share them with you. Below are my three “truths” (personal to me, maybe they resonate with you) in painting, so far, to date.

  1. Being done is a matter of deciding when to stop, and then stopping – there will always be more marks you *could* make;
  2. every mark is a form of your own inner self-expression, no matter how random it may appear be (thank you Mom for that one);
  3. there are no mistakes (corollary to the previous truth).
The above image is of work in progress – 10″x 10″ canvases in a grid formation, mixed media. Stay tuned to see how they turn out! I am posting art-journeying on Instagram. More painting to come, and writing, and buildings in renovation and design.
Enjoy your creative day!
